The study considers the stratification of software development labour market. The research question is what are the factors that affect software engineers' salaries who work in IT companies. Using data from Ukrainian Internet-survey conducted by DOU.UA and theoretical implications of sociology of programming languages and economic sociology of markets, it is shown that salaries significantly determined by the gender, few programming languages and education; however, age, size of a company and market niches don't seem to affect salary.
